New Nose Art for the P-39

Recently new nose art was added to the P-39Q of the Central Texas Wing of the Commemorative Air Force.  The left side has Big D while the right side has the red Pegasus. Theses markings were on the aircraft piloted by Captain Jack Ogilvie, a native of Dallas, Texas. He flew the P-39 in North Africa. We had the honor of meeting Jack Ogilvie at Wings Over Dallas 2016 and decided to change the nose art in recognition of his service during WWII.  Below is a link to an article detailing his experiences with the P-39.
